Profs Basic Hydro A

About Hydro A

Hydro A is essential when growing with an inert medium, such as rockwool or coco peat. The nitrogen, calcium and micro nutrients in this product allow for a healthy basic diet on which plants will thrive immediately. Ensure that Hydro A is mixed well through the feeding water, before adding other nutrients.

Profs Basic Hydro A & B

Hydro A & B are two professional fast-acting fertilizers that together contain all the essential elements that the plant needs during its growth and flowering phases. Hydro stimulates both growth and fruiting and lends the plant its characteristic taste. It has been specially developed for cultivation based on coconut or hydroculture.

Hydro nutrition caters to the plant's changing needs. During the growth phase your plant needs more nitrogen; during the flowering phase it needs considerably less, but has a greater need of elements such as phosphorus and potassium. You can cater to this by using A and B separately. Start with more A and end with more B. We therefore advise you to always use Hydro A in conjunction with Hydro B and to plan your cultivation exactly as recommended.

Advantages of using Profs Basic Hydro A & B

  • Hydro stimulates fruiting and flavour.
  • Hydro contains just the right amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and is rich in trace elements in a form that can be taken up without delay to assure you of exuberant growth and flowering.
  • The lack of impurities in the Hydro A & B fertilizers means they have no tendency to acidify or contaminate your medium.

Why it's in two parts, A & B

Hydro consists of two parts, part A and part B, and for good reason. It can happen that combining some of the elements in parts A and B results in them agglomerating. The plant cannot then process these molecules. Into the feed water you therefore need to pour the A component first and only then add the B component. We always advise you to follow the Profs Mineral Hydro schedule.
